I'm an assistant professor of computer science at Sonoma State University. I graduated from Stanford University in June 2008 with a Ph.D. in electrical engineering. My dissertation, Models and Metrics for Energy-Efficient Computer Systems, presented JouleSort, the first full-system energy-efficiency benchmark, and Mantis, a method of high-level full-system power modeling. SSU students interested in computer architecture or energy-efficient computing projects are welcome to email me.

In the Fall 2009 semester, I am teaching CS 115 (Programming I) and CS 252 (Introduction to Computer Organization). My office hours are Monday from 4-5 PM, Tuesday from 3:30-5 PM, and Wednesday from 1-2 PM, or by appointment.
